Subheading No.
1- For the purposes of subheading Nos. 8802.11 to 8802.40, the expression “unladen weight” means the weight of the machine in normal flying order, excluding the weight of the crew and of fuel and equipment other than permanently fitted items of equipments.
Explanatory remarks to chapter 88
1- The importation of wireless radio apparatus fitted on aircraft of heading No. 88.02 is subject to the approval of the Ministry of post, Telegraph and Telephone:
2- The exportation of items covered by this chapter being of military or law enforcement nature is subject to the approval of the Ministry of Commerce and the prior consent of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics. The exportation of other goods of this chapter is subject to the approval of the Ministry of Commerce.
3- For the importation of items covered by this chapter being of military or law enforcement nature, the approval of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Force Logistics should also be obtained.
The CBT applicable to parts, components and accessories of the machinery whether classified in this chapter or any other is 5% of the value. This is subject to the confirmation of the Ministry of Industries and Mines that they are not manufactured domestically.
