Chapter 4. Goods storage at Customs warehouse

Since staying period of goods for display in any Fair organized in
Iran (International, Asian, Specialized) has created some difficulties
and  ambiguities  for  participants,  therefore, we hereby draw their
kind attention and their representatives in Iran to the regulations in
force concerning goods staying at warehouse at the end of exhibition.
As  previously  indicated,  goods for display should be disposed of
under one of the three procedures provided for in Chapter 3 and within
the  time-limit  prescribed in the relevant licence. In case goods are
not  disposed of during prescribed time-limit they should be delivered
 to Fairs Customs warehouse.
The  legal time-limit for staying of goods at Customs storehouse in
four  months,  beginning  from  the  date  of  issuance of the bill of
warehousing,  within  which the goods should be disposed of by one way
or   another,   otherwise  upon  expiration  of  the  said  time-limit
delivered,  goods  and  a  written  notice will be communicated to the
owner  of  goods,  his  representative  and/or  transport company. If,
within  20 days after communication of notice, no action is taken, the
 abandoned goods will be sold.
In  very  rare  occasions  when staying of goods for more than four
months  is  acceptable  to  Customs authorities, the time-limit may be
extended  at  the request of the owner of goods, but it should be noted
that  such  extensions  rarely  take  place. At any rate, retention of
goods  for display for more than a year merely intended for exhibition
at next year is completely out of question.
